You can also contact us by email at support@upliftts.com

or call/text/WhatsApp 07572 905 290.

Once you make contact, we’ll usually start with a free consultation to understand what you’re looking for and how we can help.

3. How much does it cost?

Sessions start from £60, depending on the type of therapy and session length. Payment is normally made at checkout when you book online. If needed, bank transfer via easy link or advance cash payments can be arranged.

4. How long is a session?

Each session is 50 or 90 minutes, depending on what you book. Sessions are usually held once per week, but this can be adjusted to suit your needs.

5. What can I expect from my first session?

Your first session involves discussing what brings you to therapy, establishing your goals and creating a tailored plan. We’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you.

6. What should I do if I’m nervous about starting therapy?

Feeling nervous is completely normal. Many clients find that discussing their concerns before the first session, either in a free consultation or at the start of your booked session can help ease anxiety and build confidence.

7. Where are you based?

We offer both online and in-person sessions.

Online:

Sessions take place via Zoom.

Face to face locations:

Heywood: 15–17 York Street, Heywood, OL10 4NN

8. How does online therapy work?

After booking, you’ll receive a private Zoom link for your sessions. This is your secure “virtual room” that only you and your therapist can access.

Zoom allows us to use tools like screen share and whiteboards to support your work. It’s a confidential and professional space, just like an in-person session.

9. How many sessions will I need?

That depends on what you’re working on. Some approaches (like CBT or hypnotherapy) may involve a short-term plan of 4–16 sessions. Other work is more open-ended and led by you. Many clients start with six sessions and then review progress together.

10. Who is counselling / psychotherapy suitable for?

Therapy is for anyone who wants to understand themselves better or improve their emotional wellbeing. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit. In fact, many people come to therapy for:

• Anxiety or stress

• Low mood or depression

• Trauma / PTSD

• Bereavement

• Relationship issues

• Low self-esteem

• OCD, Bipolar or mood difficulties

12. What happens if I need to cancel an appointment?

That’s absolutely okay — life happens. We just ask for at least 24 hours’ notice.

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are still chargeable.
